Coxmoor House Kennels & Cattery

Derby Rd, Kirkby in Ashfield, Nottingham NG17 7QN, UK – 01623 753174

we have been using Tim coxmoor kennels for years with our dogs never to much trouble for them great team dog,s love the place kappa goes crazy as we drive up the path to the reception to meet the staff its his holiday time too can not praise the staff enough worth every penny knowing our dogs are safe & well cared for make,s our holiday so much more relaxing knowing there well looked after thanks Tim & the staff

Ready to book my dog Cracker into Coxmoor again for 2 seperate holiday dates in 2013. Why? Cos she loves it. She gets more and more excited as we go up the drive to reception reaching a frenzy of excitement if she spots the owner Tim. And this makes me happy knowing that she gets proper care and attention from some lovely staff in a warm and friendly kennel area where she can see what other dogs are up to as well as receive exercise at least as much as she would at home. It may be expensive compared with some kennels but, as in all things you get what you pay for.

Kirkby Kennels and Cattery

The Nook, Lindley's Ln, Portland Park, Kirkby in Ashfield NG17 9AL, UK – 01623 752298

We left our 14 year old cat here for 2 weeks. The young gent that sorted us out clearly loves animals. The facilities leave a lot to be desired though.. We came back, the cat was full on hanging off the side of the "outdoor" enclosure, hissing like crazy. The young guy had to use a towel to get him off the wall. Properly out of character. Not sure what the cat didn't like but I wasn't a fan of the facilities. Needs some investment for sure.

I have 2 Black Labradors boarded for the first time with Kirkby Kennels , and I cannot recommend them highly enough. Pamela and David, the owners, very clearly love animals and talk about their boarders by name telling me all their little characters.....one of my Labs is nervous and doesn't like kennels, and gets stressed, but not this time, when I picked them up they ran straight to Pamela and David for a play!!!! The dogs and the kennels were spotlessly clean, rates are super reasonable and I have 2 very happy unstressed pooches. Well done Kirkby!!!!

Vets

We have always received the best veterinary care for our two cockapoos since we got them just under a year ago. What prompted this review is the fantastic service we received from Jess this morning. One of my cockapoos has an upset stomach and has done for a few days (unfortunately it happens quite regularly). I called in at the survey and spoke to Jess who tried her best to get us the medication there an then, but explained we needed the see the vet, and they were fully booked for the next 2 days. After looking on the system, she managed to find time for an appointment the same day. It's only a small gesture to do this, but it meant a lot to us to get our pup sorted. So, thank you Jess for going above and beyond for and thank you to all the time for the great care we always receive!

I can not fault vets 4 pets you are all fantastic staff & care so much for the animals & I think you are a reasonable price for what you have done for our Frankie...plus the way you sorted my mum on Monday night when the other vets which i will not name didn't do the right thing when they should have ...thankyou again & keep up the good work xxx

Bridge House Veterinary Surgery

53 Outram St, Sutton-in-Ashfield NG17 4BG, UK – 01623 554778

Limited opening hours at the minute which isn't great but I've been told they are having 2 permanent vets come in this month so hopefully will pick up again. However, always have nice staff and service so helps make up for it.

They're only open for 2 half days a week. However, they do provide a good service.

This veterinary practice is absolutely amazing. My precious little dog would not be here today if I had listened to the advice of another vets not to far away in Sutton. Nothing is too much trouble and all the staff are so supportive and obviously care very much about their clients (with fur and without!) I would never go anywhere else and have recommended them to all my friends and family. Amazing ☺️

The priority always is the wellbeing of the animals. The staff are always welcoming and caring. The quality of care is exceptional.
